Obituary for Patrick F. "Pat" Kelly
Patrick F. Kelly, 86 of Syracuse passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.
Born in Syracuse, Pat was the son of the late Francis B. and Eva (Edem) Kelly.
Graduate of Assumption High School, Class of 1954, Pat was a lifetime communicant of the Franciscan Church of the Assumption. He enjoyed singing in the Assumption Church Choir for over 62 years and
volunteering in the church for much of his life. In later years, he enjoyed volunteering on Mondays answering the phones in the Friary.
Pat retired in 1997 as the Vice President of the Monroe Abstract and Title Corporation where he was employed for 42 years.
He was a gregarious gentleman who loved his family with all of his heart. He never met a stranger. He was a friend to all who was always willing to lend a hand (or an ear) and he will be remembered for his happy spirit, contagious laugh and Sauerbraten dinners.
Pre-deceased by his parents, his brother David Kelly and sister, Sister David Marie Kelly, OSF.
Survived by his beloved sister-in-law, “Sis” Kelly along with the greatest niece and nephews anyone could ever have; Kathleen(Kevin) Schilling, David (Karen) Kelly, Kevin M. Kelly and Scott (Sarah) Kelly.
5 grandnephews, Ryan and Aaron Kelly, Bradley (Cassidi) Schilling, James and Carter Kelly and the entire community of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 6, 2023 from 9:00 to 10:45 AM at Assumption Church
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday at 11:00 AM in Assumption Church
The Rite of Committal and Burial will be immediately following in Assumption Cemetery
