Obituary for Norma Louise Hayden

Norma Louise Hayden of Syracuse passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

She was a native of Syracuse and was the daughter of George and Marlene (Waters) Hayden.

Attended Fowler High School and was a well-known waitress at several Syracuse area restaurants prior to becoming disabled.

Norma was a woman of action and she was bold and “to the point”. She was a “hell of a cook” and enjoyed cooking for her family. Soups were her specialty and she was always willing to assist anybody in need---family, friend or stranger.

Norma was a loving, supportive and she had a “heart of gold”. She loved her crime shows, “First 48”, “Law & Order”, "NCIS" and “Fear thy Neighbor” and she considered herself an animal activist.

Pre-deceased by her parents and her sister, Katrina Hayden.

Survived by her two beloved sons, David E. LaClair, Jr. and George M. LaClair.

One grandson, Hezekiah LaClair

Seven siblings, Daisy Hayden, Charles (Linda) Hayden, George Hayden, Gary Hayden, Lawrence (Anne) Hayden, Mark and James Hayden.

Several nieces and nephews including her favorite niece, Daisy and her son, Julieis Anthony.

Visitation will be on MONDAY, May 2, 2022 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Keegan-Osbelt-Knight Funeral Home, Inc, 900 North Salina Street, Syracuse.

A Celebration of Life will be immediately following at 3:00 PM at the funeral home
