Obituary for Lawrence J. "Larry/Woody " Crast

Lawrence J. Crast, 68 of Baldwinsville passed away on January 27, 2022 at home.

Larry was born in 1953 to Delmont and Anna (Mooney) Crast in Syracuse. His father passed away at a young age, and he was raised by Anna and his stepfather, Jack Brophy. He grew up in the Valley and attended Central High. “Woody” as he was known, was a retiree of Onondaga County Highway Department and later a driver at Salanger Trucking.

Communicant of the former St. John the Evangelist Church, where he met Nancy, his wife of 36 years.

Larry was long time resident of Eastwood, where his neighbors called him the “Mayor of Roxbury”. He loved the Green Bay Packers, working with his sons, and most of all, being “Grampy”. Larry was a larger-than-life personality, in size and volume, with a heart to match. He was the first to help anyone in need and raised his family to do the same. He will be loved and missed by many!
