Obituary for Joyce Carol Black

Joyce Carol Black, 88 of Syracuse and formerly of Baldwinsville passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Menorah Park (Jewish Home of CNY).

Born in Newark, New Jersey, Joyce was the daughter of the late David and Dorothy (Terrell) Black.

She worked in the Airline Industry as a Customer Service Representative Supervisor for over 40 years retiring in 1997. Her career started at the former Mohawk Airlines which merged with Alleghany Airlines that eventually became US Airways.

Joyce had a love for travel and went to many far-off destinations with Scotland being a favorite destination. In later years, she traded airline memorabilia and participated in many shows across the United States showing her vast collection to interested fellow collectors.

Longtime communicant of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Syracuse.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on THURSDAY, March 4, 2021 at 9:30 AM at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 927 Park Avenue, Syracuse, NY.

The Rite of Committal and burial will be immediately following in Riverview Cemetery in Baldwinsville where Joyce will be buried with her beloved parents.

Keegan-Osbelt-Knight Funeral Home, Inc. has been entrusted with the arrangements.
