Obituary for Jesse L. Claflin

Jesse L. Claflin, 41 of Syracuse passed away suddenly on Friday, September 2, 2022 in Syracuse.

Native of Syracuse, Jesse was the son of Robin (Britton) (Claflin) Beaumont and Jesse C. Claflin and was the only baby boy born on Thanksgiving Day in 1980 in all of Syracuse. Jesse was given the nickname, “Little Red” by the nurses at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Jesse attended Fowler High School and grew up on Fitch Street and was a “true Westsider”. He was a person with an independent spirit with a “heart of gold” and cared deeply for his family, friends and strangers alike. Jesse made sure that any child he knew had a wonderful Christmas and he just wanted everyone happy and healthy and he was an amazing son, brother and uncle and he will be dearly missed.

Jesse enjoyed being a “gamer” and was an avid PlayStation player and “Call of Duty” was one of his favorite games. He loved his nieces and nephews very deeply especially his godson, Coda along with Evie, A.J. and Cameron.

Survived by his mother, Robin Beaumont, his loving sister, Amber Weller and her children, Coda, Evie and A.J., two brothers, Jay Barlow and William Seifert and girlfriend, Jennifer Gardner-Quartey.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM with a Celebration of Life to follow at 10:30 AM at Brown United Methodist Church, 228 Davis Street in Syracuse.

Jesse will be cremated following the services and a reception in his honor will be held immediately after the services at the Church.
