Obituary for Gloria A. Ranger

Gloria A. Ranger, also known as Gloria Jean (Allen) Wright, 76 of Syracuse passed away peacefully on July 5, 2022 at The Bishop Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Gloria was born in Syracuse to the late Walter and Martha Allen and was a proud high school graduate of the City of Syracuse School System.

Many people would remember Gloria working at Burger King as a Fast Food Specialist for many years and she took great pride in her job. Gloria was a stubborn, independent lady with a “will of her own”. She survived and persevered through great personal tragedy and she appreciated the simple things in life. She loved to drink Folgers coffee constantly throughout the day. She could make a “mean” pot roast and her cookies and baking skills were legendary.

Gloria liked to draw and had an artistic flare for things. She didn’t consider material things important and was never considered “high maintenance”. Gloria lived her life on her terms and loved her family dearly. We are comforted with the idea that she has been reunited with her beloved family and she is resting in peace.

Pre-deceased by her parents, siblings and two sons, Robert who died in 2018 and Charles who recently passed away on May 26, 2022.

Survived by two children, Michael (Candy) Wright and Tina (Richard) Wright

Many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, two sisters, Cindy and Karen and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be private.
