Obituary for Franklin Roosevelt "Frank" Lockwood

Franklin "Frank" Roosevelt Lockwood, 89 of Mattydale passed away on October 18, 2022 at home in Mattydale where he resided for the past 53 years.

Native of Coventy, NY (Chenango County), Franklin was the son of the late Sadie (Quick) Lockwood and William F. Lockwood.

Proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952 as a Private E-1.

Frank was a longtime Head Custodian for Jamesville-Dewitt High School and retired after 20 years of service. He was very well respected for his "down to earth" personality and willingness to assist anyone in need and made many cherished friends throughout the years.

During his free time, he enjoyed hunting, woodworking and car collecting. Upon his death, Frank was very proud to have a 2003 Cadillac DeVille sitting in his driveway. He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending most of his free time with them.

Pre-deceased by his parents, his son, Franklin R. Lockwood, Jr. in 1997 and his former spouse, Berenice (Daily) Lockwood in 2013.

Survived by two daughters, Jean V. Lockwood and Carol "LIz" Palma

Two sons, Timothy Lockwood and Mark Wayne (Judy) Lockwood, Sr.

Seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
