Obituary for Elizabeth 'Betty' G. Quinn

Elizabeth “Betty” Quinn, 90 of Syracuse passed away peacefully on November 14, 2020.

Betty was born in Paisley Scotland on June 17, 1930 to the late Thomas and Sarah (Giblin) Fadian.

In 1957, Betty emigrated to the United States with her 4 daughters in tow to join her husband who had emigrated the year before. Betty dedicated her life to raising her 7 children.

She was an avid reader and loved music and singing. She had a beautiful voice that she loved sharing with her family. She was a wonderful story-teller regaling her family with tales of her childhood in Scotland, her time during WWII and life in post-war Europe.

Devoted communicant of St. John the Baptist Church.

Pre-deceased by her husband, John Quinn, her sister, Mary Hamilton and her brother, John Fadian.

SURVIVED BY: Seven children: Mary (George) Oley, Ann Giacobbe, Sarah (Harvey) Hooper, Elizabeth (Gary) Clark, Margaret Quinn, John (Denise) Quinn and Thomas (Jeremy) Love. 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grand children along with her brother, Michael Fadian.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, 406 Court Street, Syracuse.

The Christian Rite of Committal and Burial will be immediately following in Assumption Cemetery.
