Obituary for Edward G. "Eddie" Crossman Sr.

Edward G. Crossman, Sr. 64 of Syracuse passed away peacefully on July 22, 2021 with his family by his side.

Born on February 18, 1957 to the late George and Helen (Graves) Crossman in Syracuse.

Eddie worked for many years at the former American Bags and Metal Salvage Yard on Spencer Street in Syracuse.

Eddie loved his children dearly and always made sure that they got to where they needed to go---church, school and to work. He loved to fish and hunt and enjoyed the game of BINGO. He was known to have a big heart and he always had his home open to friends, family and the neighbors for a drink, dinner or anything that they needed. He was a very kind and helpful man and the everyone will truly miss him everyday.

Pre-deceased by his parents and three children; Sue Anne Crossman, Edward Nicholas Crossman and Ruth Anne Crossman.

Survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Esther (Davis) Crossman

12 children; Jennifer Serr, David Crossman, Christina Crossman, Amanda Crossman, Jessica Crossman, Edward G. Crossman, Jr.; Isabelle Crossman, Peggy Crossman, George Crossman, Zach Crossman, Stephanie Weaver and Sonja Eddins.

Many grandchildren and great grandchildren along with 5 siblings--Helen (Dickie Holmes) Calkins, Doris Landrine, Patricia Higuera, Robert Crossman and Tony (Carrie) Farley.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Brown Memorial Methodist Church, 228 Davis Street, Syracuse

Funeral Services immediately following at 1:00 PM at Brown Memorial United Methodist Church

Cremation to follow the services.

Everyone is invited to a reception at the church immediately following the conclusion of the funeral services.
