Obituary for Earl Thomas DaRin

Earl Thomas DaRin, 74 of Jamesville passed away peacefully on December 8, 2021.

Lifelong resident of Jamesville, Earl was the son of the late Alfred J. and Nellie (Strader) DaRin.

Graduate of Jamesville-Dewitt High School, Class of 1966, Earl was a Master Stone Mason with his own company, “The Mason Shop” for over 40 years.

Communicant of Assumption Church and an active volunteer.

Pre-deceased by his parents and brother, Alfred J. “Chip” DaRin, Jr.

Survived by his wife of 41 years, Nancy (Root) DaRin of Jamesville

Two daughters, Dr. Meghan (Andrew) Purple of Cincinnati, OH and Alaina DaRin of East Syracuse

2 grandchildren, Bryce Bernadette Purple and Kolbe Thomas Purple of Cincinnati, OH

In-laws: James (Susan) Root of Bridgeport, NY, Patricia (Ronald) Howe of North Syracuse, David (Penny) Root of Cicero and Donald (Mary Pat) Root of Clay

Several nieces and nephews encompassing two generations.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Assumption Church, 812 N. Salina Street. (Masks will be required)

** The funeral will be livestreamed via YouTube (Assumption Church Syracuse) and on the churches Facebook page.**

The Rite of Committal and burial will be immediately following in Assumption Cemetery.
